VidSwap’s High School Softball Ranking Review

softball VIdSwap

Seems like everyone’s unbeaten these days amongst the top spots of the national high school softball elite. Mission Viejo continued its stellar season moving to 15-0 and taking the top ranking, but Amador Valley is in at number 2 and Archbishop Mitty at number 4, all California teams who round out the top spots, with Alexander Central from North Carolina in a No. 3.  Finishing out the top five was the Ponte Verde Sharks from Florida with an impressive 24-0 record behind acclaimed senior pitcher Avery Geehr, or the exciting Cinco Ranch bunch from Katy Texas, who claim a 14-game winning streak, depending on who you ask. Though Mission Viejo was picked to be one of the best in the league over at Student Sports earlier this spring, the standout was supposed to be the Red Mountain team from Mesa, Arizona, who finished last season with 33-5 record.  And though they do lead the Arizona standings, they do not appear in national rankings.

At six weeks through the season, the fastest rising addition to any list is the Mauldin team from South Carolina; whose 18-0 streak has jumped them onto the top 50 lists seemingly out of nowhere. Other notable movers include Camas, Washington Papermakers team, who possess an impressive 6-0 unbeaten record, and Vacaville HS in California whose unbeaten squad jumped quite a few spots with own 18-0 record.
