The perfect HD camera setup for filming football, soccer, basketball, hockey, lacrosse, volleyball, and any other sport

In this post I’m going to show you two perfect HD camera setups for filming football, soccer, basketball, hockey, lacrosse, volleyball, and any other sport. A higher end setup including the Canon Vixia HF G40, which is their new flagship, prosumer camcorder, and a less expensive setup with the Canon Vixia HF R700.

Setup 1 (higher end):

1) Camcorder, Canon Vixia HF G40, mentioned above and this records in beautiful HD MP4 files either 1080 or 720, and it can dual record multiple versions. The camera also allows for LANC remote control. Lastly, this camera is extremely durable and built to last…it’s a real beauty!

2) Tripod, Acebil 705 with remote, this  includes a LANC remote on the handle for controlling the camera

3) 7″ monitor, Lilliput 7 inch, this mounts on top of the camera in the universal shoe for a great view of the action

4) Case, Pelican 1740, this protects everything from the camera, tripod, and all of the electronic components

5) 25 foot extension cable and power strip

Setup 2 (lower end, less expensive):

1) Camcorder, Canon Vixia HFR700

2) Tripod, Acebil 605, less expensive then the above tripod without a remote and its a little smaller/shorter

3) 7″ monitor, Lilliput 7 inch, this mounts on the tripod handle with this clamp, Pedco Ultra clamp

4) Case, Pelican 1550, this protects the camera and all of the electronic components…NOT including the tripod

5) 25 foot extension cable and power strip
